History..
A friend is a lover, literally. The relationship between Latin amīcus “friend” and amō “I love” is clear, as is the relationship between Greek philos “friend” and phileō “I love.”
Long time ago, in English world, frēond, the Old English word for “friend,” was simply the present participle of the verb frēon, “to love.”
The Germanic root behind this verb is *frī–, which meant “to like, love, be friendly to.”
Ultimately descended from this noun are the personal names Frederick, “peaceful ruler,” and Siegfried, ”victory peace.”
The root also shows up in the name of the Germanic deity Frigg, the goddess of love, who lives on today in the word Friday, “day of Frigg,” from an ancient translation of Latin Veneris diēs,
Whut I'm trying to say is friend is to be loved. Think about it. If you have bad relation lately, meet up, call them, text 'em, forgive each others and you will see the result. It may not solve ur problems, but maybe (98% sure!!!) you will relieve.
Dansk (Danish)-ven, veninde
Nederlands (Dutch)-vriend, kennis, quaker
Français (French)-ami, camarade, copain
Deutsch (German)-Freund, Freundin
Italiano (Italian)-amico
Everything above, i dunno how to pronouce it but it means friends. In BM, kawan, sahabat, o rakan. Hehehe..
I take some quotes from the internet;
“Life is partly what we make it, and partly what it is made by the friends we choose.”
Tennessee Williams
O thou my friend, choose ur friends wisely as good friends are hard to find, hard to create, and impossible to forget.
Hooray!!
